How to Connect Your Uplisting Account to Jervis Systems
With the Jervis Systems-Uplisting integration, you can import your property listings and reservation details and automate property access via SET PIN codes for guests, cleaning companies, and maintenance personnel.
Below we outline the complete step-by-step process to connect Uplisting to Jervis Systems and set up PIN code access for guests.
First, obtain your API Key information from your Uplisting account by going to the Connect tab and then selecting the API key subtab under “Sync data from Uplisting.” You’ll want to copy this information for step 3.
From your Jervis Systems dashboard, navigate to the Marketplace page and select the option to connect to Uplisting.
Paste your API key information in the provided field and select the button to connect. Once connected, you should see a green confirmation message and the Jervis Systems Marketplace will show that Uplisting is now connected.
Next, go to your Properties page within your Jervis Systems account and click “Refresh Properties”. When the page has been reloaded, you will see all the property listings imported from your Uplisting account.
Note: From here, you have the option to edit your properties to add an offset capability that allows Jervis Systems to configure automated keyless access for early check-in and late check-out. If you have the same offset capabilities across all properties, you can use the bulk offset tool to apply these settings across your entire portfolio.
The next steps will walk you through setting up automated access between Jervis Systems and Uplisting for your imported reservations. Go to the Devices page and connect to your smart locks and devices by selecting the “Import Devices” button. From there, select your smart lock or device system provider and follow the prompts to connect your smart lock account.
Once your devices are imported successfully, you will want to assign your devices to your imported Uplisting properties. You can do this by selecting the drop-down list for the device you want to assign and checking the boxes for the properties to which you want it to be assigned. Once assigned, the property status indicator will turn green for all properties with assigned devices on the Properties page.
You can confirm that automated access is set up by navigating to the Reservations tab in Jervis Systems. You should see the 4-digit code in the SET PIN field.
Next, you want to set up your Uplisting email templates to automatically send the SET PIN code details out to guests before check-in. To do this, navigate to the Outbound Communications tab in your Uplisting account and create a new guest message rule.
For easy reference, you can name the new template Guest Access Code, Door Lock Code, or similar. For the message, you’ll want to edit the template to include the variable {lock_code}. The below message is a simple example:
Hello {guest_first_name},
You can use {lock_code} to open the front door.
Enjoy your stay,
Your Name
Company
Input the time conditions around when you’d like the message to be sent. Uplisting also provides the option to have the message sent out to last-minute bookings. Finally, select the properties you want this rule to apply to, and then hit Save to schedule your messages.
Success! You now have your Jervis Systems and Uplisting accounts connected, your SET PIN created, and your access instructions set up to be sent to the guests.
